My random act of kindness was to foster a dog who was pulled from a kill shelter in NYC and was very undernourished. She asked me to just put it in a bag and I offered to mail to her in TX. she said if it wasn\'t a bother it would be great and she would pay me back. I\'ll be giving the card to another friend of mine, Judy who has been helping me with some internet work. My act of kindness was to help two women that I know that are elderly and in need of help. 2010-09-11	White Plains	New York	United States	I spent a few hours this morning at the Lois Bronz Children’s Center in White Plains, NY painting classrooms with several other volunteers. As an education professional , I believe a student\'s surroundings play a role in the learning process at any age, so a brighter classroom can lead to brighter children. I also understand the need for volunteers and believe it\'s our duty to help our community. It was my pleasure to help an organization dedicated to the early childhood education of so many children! And, I will be sure to pass along my NIYT card after \'a random act of kindness\'!	Track This Card

2010-07-04	Plelham	New York	United States	It’s the middle of a heat wave (90+ degrees), a holiday and my parents decide today is the day they need to clean the garage. I mention what I’m doing to a friend of mine and he decided to come over and help out, which was great because we really wouldn’t have been able to do it without his help. Her impact isn\'t just about the moment that she gave me the card, but about encouraging me to be the positive and compassionate person I am by leading through example every single day. 2010-02-18	Stamford	Connecticut	United States	I was heading to work stopped to get some coffee, when I got to the Donut shop all the spaces were taken so I parked in an handicap space, I figured I would be in and out. When I came back to my car it wouldn\'t start at all. Knowing I would be caught in this space I put the car in neutral and rolled back. Now I was in the middle of the parking lot. I tried to call friends/family for help but nobody would come. Just sitting there thinking what to do while everyone passed me by and did nothing. One man pulled up to my car and ask what the problem was, after I told him he had cables and gave me a jump. When we got done my car came back on, then he gave me this card and I was a bit curious what he was doing. I thought he was gonna try and sell me something, when he told me what it was about I was moved. It\'s very hard to meet people like that now of days.	Track This Card

2010-01-23	Ardsley	New York	United States	It was a lazy Saturday afternoon and I opened up my mailbox. Normally full of junk mail, I was pleased to see a card with real handwriting. Our friend sent a card to myself and my husband reminding us how blessed we were to have found each other. She said we were an example of what she wanted from marriage in the future. With the day to day, we get bogged down by dirty dishes, delayed trains, and a million other \"thumps\" in life. Her kind words brought a smile to our faces and reminded us that life (& love) is good! My 6 year old has hijacked the card and is planning on passing it on to his friend. He plans to send his friend his first set of Pokemon cards:)	Track This Card

2009-11-21	White Plains	New York	United States	A loss of a person can be very devastating, and even a minute action can change another individual\'s life. At the Community Service Day launch event, I was given the opportunity to join the Bone Marrow Registry in honor of my brother who recently passed away due to Multiple Myeloma. The treatment plan called for the use of one\'s own stem cells as an alterrnative treatment. The use of a sibling\'s bone marrow would have been the next treatment option. Knowing that maybe one day I can help someone in a similar situation gives me hope.	Track This Card

2009-10-31	newyork	New York	United States	I am a student in University of Bridgeport but live in Newyork I basically I take classes in our campus in Stamford on weekends and weekend classes start from 8.30 which make to wake up at 6 to be on time in the school. At my first class last week I met Jason he also lives in Newyork he kindly offered me to take to classes on Saturdays with his car, from now on I do not have to make 2 hours way to go to school and I can get more sleep.
